ARTICLE WRITING RULES
1. Turkish abstract (maximum 200 words) and keywords (maximum 5 words), English title of the article, English abstract and keywords must be complete. Abstracts and keywords should appear immediately after the title.
2. The article must consist of at least 5000 words and at most 9000 words. The total number of words (abstracts and article text) must be stated in the application.
3. The page dimensions of the magazine can be adjusted by giving a space of 2.5 cm from the top, 2.8 cm from the bottom, 2 cm from the left and 1.5 cm from the right, and the distance from the edges is 1.5 cm for the header and 1.8 cm for the footer. In other words, the dimensions of the area reserved for the text should be 16x24 cm. The dimensions given below should be taken into consideration in tables and special drawings. It would be appropriate to pay attention to this measurement to avoid slippages and distortions in the shapes of the tables.
4. In the article text;
The font is Times New Roman, single line spacing, 11 pt, justified, and 6 pt spaces after paragraphs.
Article title: 18 points, bold, left-aligned, lowercase (the first letter of each word is capitalized),
Author names in 14 font size, first names in lower case, surnames in capital letters, right aligned,
Abstract, Key Words, Abstract, Keywords headings (bold) and texts in italics, 10 points, English version of the article title in bold, italics, 11 points and left aligned,
Main headings are 14 point font, bold, left-aligned and lowercase (the first letter of each word is capitalized),
Second headings should be 12 points, bold, left-aligned and lowercase (the first letter of each word is capitalized),
Third headings should be 11 points, bold, italic, left-aligned and lowercase (the first letter of each word is capitalized),
Fourth headings are 11 points, italic, left-aligned and lowercase (the first letter of each word is capitalized),
References should be 10 point font and left aligned.The second line of the references in the bibliography should be indented 1 cm inwards.
Abbreviations should be written clearly and the abbreviated version in parentheses when first displayed, and only the abbreviated version should be given in subsequent presentations.
A period should be placed after the table and figure numbers and the title of the table and figure should be given. The first words of the titles should start with capital letters (Example: Table 1. Income per Capita by Years). If the table or figure is taken from another work, the source should be placed in italics, in small font, and below the table or figure, in accordance with the citation rules. Tables and figures should be prepared for black and white printing.
"Double quotes" should be used in direct quotations that do not exceed three lines within the text. Double quotes should not be used in the text except for direct quotations.
When a long (more than three lines) quote is given from a source, it should be indented from the right and left (1 cm) and written in 10 point font (without quotes). At the end of the quote, the cited source should be given in parentheses with the page number.
Special terms and expressions in the text should be shown in 'single quotes'. If it is not a proper name, the words inside the quotes should be written in lowercase letters. Single quotation marks or italics (instead of underlined or bold) should be preferred for words or expressions to be emphasized.
Foreign words, book and journal names in the text should be written in italics. If the foreign language equivalent of a Turkish term or expression will be given, it should be written in italics in parentheses.
Numbers in the text should be written in words if they are single digits, and should be written in numbers if they are two or more digits.
When numbering in the text, dots should be preferred instead of th/th/th suffixes.
The % sign should be used for the word percentage.
5. In-text citation system should be used in articles. Explanations other than citations should be stated in the form of footnotes at the bottom of the relevant page. Every reference within the text must be included in the bibliography. Works that are not cited in the text should not be included in the bibliography.
6. References within the text should be given in parentheses (surname of the author(s), year of publication of the source: following the relevant page number order) and the Reference list containing the full and complete citation of the sources used should be arranged at the end of the text in accordance with the citation system.
7. If a reference is made from another source, it should be given with the expression 'cited by'.
